I've heard it described as a digital Pearl Harbor, only this could be global. Is Apple the only answer to avoid this?

Perhaps I'm clueless and haven't been paying attention, but what's Daemon? The only "daemon" I know is when a bad email address bounces and I get the Mailer Daemon reply.

There's a book, published just this month I think, titled Daemon, by Daniel Suarez. However, I heard on the news that this super worm could become a reality within the next year or two, taking down computer networks all over the world. It does not need human assistance to continue once it starts.

And Nimda, and Code Red, and a million other worms. Not exactly a new concept. The first post sounds more like an Apple fanboy spreading FUD.

Oh no, really! I am just a remedial computer user who let the news put some fear into me. I don't even know what "spread FUD" means.
