Agree with the post by Stratford CT resident. I live at corner of Atlantic and Henry, with drug traffic and violence at night on Henry, Pacific and Woodland Place. Dont know where u are at in your decision now..be interested if u came here. Two yrs culd make alot of difference.

Yes, the area is not the cesspool it once was. I have been in Stamford for 16 years and it has come a long way. But there is still a long way to go. There have been two murders in the last 3 months with in 1 mile of 101 Washington Blvd. There was also a stabbing in front of that building several months ago. The victim was actually an employee of the building and the attackers were all minors. Curiously nothing has been heard about this incident since initial police report.

It seems that BLT who are the developers of Harbor Point have some pull in the city to keep stories like this quiet. Hence their interest in financing the Labor Day fire works. It may also help deflect some of the oppostion they are facing on the closing of Brewers Yacht Haven. Seems that property must remain a functioning boat yard, unless they get local zoning and federal approval for their plans on that site.

That said. I still would not walk the streets in this area at night unless I was carrying. Luckily CT is a will issue state.

I live in at the new harbor pt for 2 years now after living on hope st for many years ,and I WILL TELL YOU i love harbor pt over my OLD .PLACE .I love my unit ,I enjoy all the perks the complex has to offer I FEEL VERY SAFE , This is the new Stamford it is only going to get better I am here to stay .I have lived in Stamford for many years and this by far is the best place to live .live & let live be happy.
