Hi,

I had posted before for apartments in Simsbury but my employer informed me that they will be shifting there office in South Windsor in June/July.So I would need an apartment there.
What I am looking for is a 1 or 2 bhk in a safe area that has somewhat Indian community presence.
I searched several online sites and craigslist but didn't get much results.
Also, if there is any area closer to South Windsor that I can look at that also.

Please suggest.

There isn't a lot of apartments in S. Windsor if I remember correctly (I lived in CT for 6 years - hoping to move back!) However, the next town over in Vernon there are a lot of complexes. Not sure of the Indian community presence though. How much are you looking to spend? Do you have any pets? One complex I like is the Santi Villa apartments, however they don't allow pets and we can't move in there.

In Vernon there are the Mansions at hockanum crossing off Route 83. Santini Villla apartments off route 30 and in Ellington on route 83 Autumn Chase apartments. They would all fit right into your price range. Not sure though of the Indian presence, but the area is nice for them, and not far from S. Winsdor.

Thanks.. I looked at both apartments and they both are really awesome.
But my work location will be Griffin Rd N, Windsor, CT 06095.
They are around 30 mins drive.
If possible can you suggest me something near to my work location?

So your job is not in South Windsor, it is in Wondsor which is on the other side of the Connecticut River. Still many people that work in Windsor live across the river. I know a lot live in Manchester which has many apartments that could fit your needs. A 30 minute drive is not bad. Still if you want to be on the same side of the river, you might want to consider Bloomfield or West Hartford. West Hartford is a great town with a lot going on and a lot of rentals. They won't likely be in an apartment complex but they are still nice. Bloomfield has some apartments as well so it may be worth checking them out. Even Windsor itself has some apartments so check there too. Jay

You wont find rentals in SW (aside from people renting out their condo...which is a good option, but perhaps difficult to find), so your rentals will be in Manchester.

Stay away from the majority of the complexes which encircle the mall (The Pavillions, in particular). Apartmentratings.com for the details.

I don't know if you're here on a temporary visa (many renters in the Manchester area seem to be). If you are, please care for whichever community you choose like its your own--when I briefly resided in Manchester, the majority of people treated the complex like a dumping ground since they were only in the country temporarily. Not the PC thing to say, I know...but sadly true.

Even I have seen the same thing here. I do take care of the community where I live and will do same wherever I go. Even if people are here on temporary visa they should treat the community as their own and value it.
Thanks for the nice advice.
