Hi there

My husband and I currently live in Colorado Springs, CO where he was stationed in the Army for the past few years. He recently got out and is currently working for Local 58. We are both from Connecticut and after much consideration, we are thinking of going back to be closer to family. We have a 20 month old daughter with plans on expanding our family. Life in the Springs has been fantastic and the thought of leaving is a bit scary BUT, the more we think about our family long term, the more we realize that we want our kids to know our extended family and there's something about "home" we're really missing.

With that said, my husband is having a tough time getting a hold of anyone from Local 777. Before we can even consider a transfer, we need to know what employment and lay off's been like within the past couple years with the local union and if they are even accepting apprentices . Any knowledge of future major projects? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you are talking about the plumbers and pipe fitters Union and are asking about projects and work through them. I can tell you that from people I know there is a lot of work for plumbers and pipe fitters here but I believe it is hard to get in. Not sure how it works transferring in from another state. Jay.
