I personally think NYC's government intentionally keeps the city's streets in relatively bad shape to control speeding and encourage private car drivers to take mass transit. I've been to some major cities in developing countries with a smoother road network.

CT's roads are in better shape than NY's, but they are still below par compared to Florida's.

You might be right about NYC. I do think that Manhattan itself should have toll pricing like London, however the roads should be maintained properly/tolls need to be reduced.

Angry Dangerous Potholes!

I drive over the bridge everyday and the potholes are dangerous and treacherous! It amazes me how long it has gone unattended. I hit one in early spring and it destroyed my tire. I see cars changing flats all the time. The potholes are in the middle lane and right lane. I try to avoid them but there are more and more and the traffic is heavy. Will it take a fatal accident before something is done?

This thread is more than a year old now. There is a link to report potholes on the CTDOT website. Why don't you report the potholes you see. Jay
