Pretty much what I expected. Most people won't drive much more than half a day for a 4 day trip

I drove 10 hours for 4 days recently.

And 10 hours for 2 overnights/3 days. That one was harder since we left later than we wanted to. Got in late the first night, had a full day and overnight and started winding home mid-day. It's much better if you leave early in the morning.

I'm considering a blast on a long summer day, 6-7 hours each way no stayover.

Great thing about living here, 6-7 hours gets you to so many varied destinations. There's probably no other part of the country with that much variety. Maybe California.

What’s on the 60’s playlist for the drive? Moon River and Puff the Magic Dragon

Better have great scenery for that. A drive to Vermont/White Mountains/Maine Coast maybe.

60s and 70s
I don’t give up my secrets easily but there’s ice cream involved. I hope

Laughing at Moon River! Had to look it up, I actually recognized it, but no way, no how is that on my playlist!

Ok then. I just thought it was a great road trip song for you and your honey. Two drifters off to see the world.

Just found out that Scorsese is a big David Johansen fan. Saw a great interview with them on MSNBC Morning Joe.
