Can anyone suggest a really good Pizza resturant/delivery place? Looking for something similar to New York style pizza, sick of Pizza Hut and need something different, but not sure who is good and who is bad.

Thanks in advance.

Vernon has some ok stuff

Pauls Pizza House is not bad- neither is Central Pizza-both on route 83.
Angelenos Restaurant opposite the Tri City Plaza is also good.

Ellington Pizza is also very good-located in Ellington on Windsorville Rd.

Wooster Street Pizza near BJ's-next to Manchester Wines and Liquors in Manchester is excellent- serving New Haven/New York style-located on Tolland Turnpike.

Pepe's located near the Buckland Hills Shoppes in Manchester also is the same as the famous place in New Haven- both owned by the same family- and is considered the best in the state and northeast.

For me it's Pepe's in Manchester 1st. (New Haven Style > NY Style IMHO. )

Other good places in town are Manchester Pizza and Grill (More of a greek style but not all the way - very good though) Vic's (Decent pie), Wooster Street and Roma's in East Hartford.

I'll third Pepe's. Went there a few weeks ago and it was great. Surprisingly we went on a Saturday night and did not have to wait. Usually there is a 20-30 minute wait for a table.

Pfft, if we're driving to New Haven just go to Sally's and get it over with!

It's nice having an authentic piece of Wooster Street here in Manchester though.

I'll amend this to a few other questions

1) What's the difference between NY and NH style pizza?
2) Is there any link to an index of restaraunts in Vernon/Manchester?
