I have cable programming for my television. There are a couple of rooms in my home that dont have a cable access outlet, thus cant watch TV in those rooms. I wasnt aware but it came to my attention that you can now use wireless technology to watch TV just about anywhere in a house, regardless of having a cable access outlet or not. Anyone have this technology and your thoughts, and any recommendations for a set up, cost, etc. ?
It doesn't pass HD. Keep in mind that devices like that one are intended to be connected to a video source, such as a cable box. I don't know of anything that will take a cable feed directly and send it wirelessly. But I've never needed one.
I don't have another suggestion except that wireless video for the consumer has been a hit or miss proposition.

Have you looked into what it would cost to run a coax from the junction point to the rooms in which you want additional TVs?
I really havent. Going wireless seems like the way to go with the least amount of hassles. The trend nowdays is to go wireless. Probably go the RF-Link route, despite the $240 cost.

If wireless works in your situation, great. But I can't say enough how many things can negatively affect wireless transmission, especially video. Just a few years ago we stopped selling wireless speakers because at least half of them wouldn't work for the intended application. Slightly different tech, I know, but wireless is not consistent enough to be the go-to answer before seriously considering everything else, IMHO.

I hear ya. The impression I get is that the technology really hasnt been developed to its full potential. Wireless computers have the capablitiy to stream movies, which really shouldnt be much different than having Cable TV going wireless. Perhaps there really hasnt been much of a demand as it seems like television programming/movies is going towards streaming on a computer or smart tv and possiblity eliminating or phasing out cable service altogether.

Have you considered switching to satellite where they give you multiple boxes for the same price as one? Or Direct Tv with its Genie?
