I have an older version BOSE clock radio, given as a gift to me in 1998. Still looks and sounds great, but I don't listen to radio much. In our prior home, I had this attached to a CD player and listened to my CD's. We moved, I've uploaded all my CD's (about 500) to clouds, etc. and would like to be able to listen to my music on the BOSE using my ANDROID Smart Phone or Samsung tablet (preferably the latter) as the selection tool.
I know I could buy another BOSE with this built in, but I just can't justify the expensive cost. If other's have additional suggestions for a reasonably priced replacement that is small but sounds 'expensive' with a large variety of music (hard rock to classical), I'd appreciate the ideas.
PS - I don't care about the clock function. This is going into my living room.

Looking at the two manuals you will need a 3.5mm female to two male RCA connectors for it to work. Go to ebay and get one similar to the one in this link:
Thank you both! I'll have to pull out the Bose and make sure it's the connection you are telling me I need.
Just plug the BT receiver where you use to plug in the CD player. If you don't have the right connectors, go to Radioshack It might cost you a extra $2.
Instead of posting in the other thread, I'm going to address yours here.
I think you want to stream music your could music to a speaker or system that you currently have and control via Android via WiFi
You should be able to also get the "CONNECT" If you want to use your old Bose system.
Also keep in mind if you do stream from your device, Wifi will eat up your battery too.
If I needed something like this, I'd setup a little PC computer to feed the sound systems and remote control that computer with the android device so wfi won't drain the device.

That's an understatement. Why is it when someone specifically states they don't want to spend a bunch of money someone always posts a solution which is just about the most expensive option

Also how much is something reasonably priced for someone that has purchased 500 CD?
They said they didn't want to spend $600 so $300 considered the Yamaha but didn't like the look, so the Sonus is within budget in my book.
