When I decided to do this I thought finding a product that would send video of someone at my door to my cell phone/tablet would be easy. I want the ringing of the bell to notify me by opening an app on my phones and tablets showing the camera view with a ringtone so I know it's there.

Either I've become a Google Search Novice or I simply don't know the right name for what I want.

Does anyone know of a system that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is reliable that will do this? I have found a couple out of China that I don't trust.

I assume you've seen this one? Pretty cool idea. That bronze one is nice looking, too.

I did. Somewhere (of course I've lost it) I bookmarked a site that reviewed it and another one. Not good reviews.

I should track it down again and see if the review has gotten any better since it's been a while,

And thanks!!

Reviews have improved with the new version and I'm seeing it at Best Buy and Amazon.

I do believe a trial is in order. Excellent find that I had completely forgotten about.

There's just too much going on to keep track of it all.

I will report back after testing it.

You might wish to look at Foscam, they have inside and outside cameras that are wifi, you put an app on your android or Iphone and you can bring up what it sees.

I have Foscams, but they don't connect to a doorbell as far as I can tell.

Also, I was just informed by the wife that she wants to see who's at the door on a monitor at the door.

Back to the drawing board.

I need to research combining all this into a contiguous system.

Check out the ones like this one, maybe that or something like it is what she wants.

We have a security door in front of the walk-in door that blocks a peep hole camera. I've thought about removing some of the screening to remove the block, but I'm betting I will get a
"No." from my wife.

I keep thinking that a WiFi camera like the one peregrine mentioned with a cheap tablet mounted to the wall might do the trick. Best of both worlds.
