Hey all have a question. A while back my remote for the ac stopped working. I then bought a universal ac remote control like this one.

It took a while to setup because the brand of the ac in my apartment zmartech didn't seem to be in the manual. But eventually i got it to work by trying many other 3 digit codes to work. i tried to use it and i notice it does not even turn on. The name of the universal remote is called
Hw-1028e univeral 1000 in 1 a/c universal remote
It does not even power on. Back then even when i had issues with pressing the buttons, there is a button where when you click it, its like a flashlight so to speak. That does not work either. Does that mean my universal remote is damaged and no longer works? Curious if anyone here has this universal ac remote.
