We are retired, she likes to golf, and I like to fish. Would anyone reccomend Cookeville, for this old retired couple?

Fer Sure!! 5 places in Cookeville. 9 in Crossville and one of them is the famous "Bear Trace". Dale Hollow is minutes away for some of the best fishing anywhere. TheGolfCourses.net has all the info.

Tinman, jib88fer, Thank you both, We'll be heading down there in about a month, checking out the
realestate market, hopefully we can find something that us average people can afford. I really don't
like Fla, too hot and too crowded. and I really like all 4 seasons. Thanks again

i second Dale Hollow Lake, a very pristine and peaceful lake. you can see the bottom of the lake easily from lots of the lake. great place to fish, so long as you get out there early enough to avoid the other boats that'll scare away. you got your large mouth, small mouth, etc. if you're looking to get a good feel as far as good fishing spots, i recommend looking up Deleted: please DM business recommendations, a kayaking guide and rental service. they will take you out on the lake for fishing and you'll get a good feel for the hot spots, top water fishing, trolling, etc. Good luck, you really can't go wrong with Dale Hollow lake!

I don't know when you're moving here for good, but Dale Hollow and Clay Co got a major boost with the "La Gardena" project. You can go to mylake(dot)com for more info. This place is gonna be about 10 miles from my house, as a crow flies.

jib88fer: I looked up La Gardena, what little they're showing, looks like it's out of my league, cost
and social status. I'll just try to find a regular house, thanks for the info.

Thanks recreational fisher, I usually do moe fishing than catching
