I'm wondering what happened to the plans to widen Hwy 56 at I-40 straight through to KY. I talked with the state road commissioner and he said it was due to start in spring 2009. They moved the utility poles and surveyed for months. Then all we got was the old road resurfaced. imho A waste of tax payer dollars because the road was nice to begin with.
