The great donut debate that some say it’s no contest. Some say it just depends. Where does you allegiance lie? Ralph’s or Big O’s! See the article at the link below.

As a man who enjoys good doughnuts, I am always taken aback when I hear that some people prefer Big O over Ralph's. But Big O does some stuff that Ralph's doesn't: "fancy" doughnuts with things like jelly beans and M&M sprinkles, huge doughnuts with a lot more filling, a larger variety of icing flavors and colors, free wifi (I don't think Ralph's has wifi), open 24/7, plus things like ice cream, frozen coffee, and sandwich wraps. It's easy to see why Big O is popular with some people, particularly college students. However, I don't think Big O has cake doughnuts, at least they didn't the last time I was in there about a year ago.

If Big O were in any other town it would be the unquestioned best doughnut shop in town. Cookeville is fortunate to have two really good home-grown doughnut shops, plus the only Dunkin Donuts in Tennessee where the doughnuts are made fresh right there (not shipped in frozen from a factory in another state), and in another few weeks a Krispy Kreme.

Ralph's is a better donut shop but they shot themselves in the foot by not being open on Sundays.

I tried to get donuts this morning from Ralph's ... ended up at Big O. Not bad donuts but I like the Ralph's experience better.

Ralph's ranked among the top 25 doughnuts shops in America (#21), this time for their plain glazed doughnut.
