QUESTION: By law, are real estate agents required to disclose if a property has been previously used in the manufacturing of meth? If not, how does a person find that information? Does the Putnam County Sheriff's office have a database with that information available to the public?

Must realtor disclose house used to make meth?

There's a statewide data base here:
Lab Search
That organization can give you more information.

Yes. They have to disclose it if they know about it. I've been sitting in a real estate classroom for two days learning about this.

Ethically, morally and legally they must advise of all obvious defects. They do not have to disclose latent ones, which means defects that they don't know about it. It is possible for the house to have been a meth lab and the agent not to know about it.

My teacher would be so proud.
