In the Corpus area, what do you think are the highest end/most expensive/most prestigious neighborhoods?

Perhaps rank the top 5 or so.

For the sake of argument, we will count Ocean Dr. as one entity unless you feel the need to parse it down.

Why do you pick Calallen as second? There are some nice areas, but there seems to be more high end inventory along the Oso creek (and bay) in various neighborhoods.

1. Ocean Drive(cost decreases by blocks away from water) Value order off Ocean is Hewitt, Tanglewood, Besser Park(highest cost standard size houses), Hyde Park, Lamar Park, Camden, South Shores, Del Mar, Alta Plaza. Most of this has to with relative house and lot size. Del Mar has million dollar houses but has a lot of 200k small houses as well.
2. The Lakes
3. Country Club(south of the golf course)
4. North Padre Island(particularly Canal lots)
5. Cantera and graham road in Flour Bluff(Oso bayfront lots and streets).

Honorable mentions: Furman Avenue and Upper Broadway(Downtown historic mansions), Kings Crossing(Used to be 2 or 3 on this list but golf course going broke has crippled values)

Homes on Ocean Drive are nice and were expensive back in the day, but that area is old now. I wouldn’t recommend it.
