I have been on a handful of cruises but gave a couple questions...

Not to become political, but it seems as if all the corona virus mandates/requirements are pretty much over except Australia? Meaning no tests, no required vax, etc?

I have always left from the mid Atlantic and one time i took a very quiet cruise in which I believe was due to the possible hurricane...Is there a time leaving from the mid Atlantic that is known to be much quieter then usual? Would it be fall?

I have a wife, a infant, and a 2 year old...and I hate noise hahaha...none the less are there any lines that offer double rooms? In the past I have checked at it seems the ones leaving my area dont. I enjoy cruising but as one who suffers with hating noise(snoring, hearing talking through walls, etc) it becomes rough.

Look up huricane season. I think you will find that it runs into Nov. So the fall is out.

You should be able to get adjoining cabins but I do not recall any being listed on web sites. I would check with a travel agent.

By "double rooms" do you mean two connecting rooms?

BTW, ear plugs are very useful for those trying times when other people intrude on your life.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. One of the cruises I took was very quiet and was due to a possible hurricane forming at that time...so I believe many cancelled. Yes it was in the fall, however I was asking if there are any times in particular that are known to be quieter/less people then others during the season.

I suppose those rooms would work...I haven't found any plugs that work enough for me unfortunately.

Get some good ear phones, perhaps, + listen to your favorite music.

The obvious answer to this is to cruise when kids are actively in school. Avoid summers and extended holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas/New Years, spring breaks.

Edit to add: Longer cruises also tend to be quieter. We prefer transatlantic cruises.

I think the answer is no for time of year. But I think you can find some cruise lines quitter than others. What I am really saying is that lines that have a lot of children may not be as quite as those that do not.

Holland America caters to older clients so it is probably quieter. However for their Alaska cruises there could be more children than normal but I think you will still find it quite.
