Now they have lots of time to ponder what went wrong.
Except that wasn't what caused the company to go under.

Great news for right wingers! Food that some liberals hate being made with nonunion labor. I wonder how many resisted buying twinkies because of the union, now buying them.

Or get creative and poor a fifth of Mad Dog 20/20 over that bowl of twinkies..that'll give your puke not only texture, but that purty purplish color that's so in style

I always thought Twinkies tasted like lard smelled and although I have never tried it,I would say a dog turd with a hair in it would be just as appetizing...maybe some poster who has tried the twinkie AND dog turd/hair will chime in with a comparison report for us.

Let's see. One Twinkie weighs 17grams, 2.5g of that is saturated fat. They also contain high fructose corn syrup which equals a roll that is made up of 42% sugar and 11% fat by weight. Down right unhealthy.
Maybe it would have been better for the American public if the factory had remained closed.

Since they're not going to be unionized, they'll probably try to hire illegals to avoid employing people full time, benefits, and taxes.
Palermo's pizza hired, then fired people suspected of being illegals. Very odd. Of course, these people were fired after an ICE raid and after workers wanted to unionize.
Quote:
To fight the unionization drive, Palermo's hired notorious anti-union firm Jackson Lewis, and sent out notices to dozens of workers on the day they handed in their petition to form a union, saying that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was requesting further proof of citizenship.

Palermo's unfurled a professionally printed banner next to where workers are picketing, that said, "A union will not change your immigration status, only the right documents will," in English and in Spanish. ICE confirmed after the strike began that they had suspended any immigration or employment audit at Palermo Villa as a result of the strike, as is their policy, but Palermo's management continues to cite the audit in its communications with the workers.

One of the PR tactics Palermo's has used is inflating the number of employees that they have, in an attempt to make the number of workers on strike seem less significant. Voces believes that only about 200 workers would be eligible for the official NLRB union vote, but Palermo's has told the press that they have over 450 employees.
