I think getting rid of the phone and taking down Facebook is alright, but again we are allowing the bullies to get away with it. There are ways to block people on the phone and on Facebook. Why shouldn't the parents of the bullies take THEM to task and take their electronic equipment away from them? We, along with their parents, continue to "give in" to them. No consequences for their actions.
Wake up parents! Stop trying to be a "cool" parent and friend to your kids! So what if the kid doesn't like you nosing in their private matters. You bought their phone/computer, etc. You own it! If they won't give you the password...take it away. It's harder to say "no" than "yes."

I wish the bullies' parents would take their high tech gadgets away. On another note how do you think would the children/teens/ young adults function without their gadgets???
No, the victim should change their number; however, why should the victim make changes to their life because a group of people can't behave properly.
Schools need to expel the students. Parents need to document these incidents. Then, go to the cops and file a harassment lawsuit and ask for money for emotional distress (compensation to pay for therapy). God forbid the child commits suicide, the parents should file a wrongful death lawsuit.
Parents need to learn how to make technology a tool that they use and not a tool that uses them. Then they need to pass that along to their kids. Until then we are going to see this over and over and over

The old fashioned way like all of us did before technology and all the gadgets.
Imagine it, face to face contact, having to make an actual telephone call, no hiding behind an anonymous computer/telephone screen.

Yes. Or, even, getting up to change a channel on the T.V.

You're right...and if this young woman is "like a child" why weren't her parents monitoring the computer for her...It's very sad that some kids can be so incredibly cruel, it probably always will be. This young woman doesn't need to feel hurt though...just get off of discrace book.
