Has anyone else become a big chess fan since Carlsen took over?
-I've been following a lot of tournaments online lately. There was the Zurich Chess Challenge in January of this year. Great Carlsen, Nakamura game. The candidates tournament in khanty mansiysk, russia last month.
There was a tournament in shamkir, azerbaijan just completed. Carlsen won, although he lost two games in a row.
Is anyone looking forward to the Carlsen, Anand rematch this november? I enjoyed watching their games online last year. Incredible game 9! Historic.
His performance in this recent tournament speaks for itself... Nice comeback after losing the 2 games.
As for the rematch with Anand in November... Anand has no chance.

Kinda like your threads in the Savannah forum. I spent 30 years there prior to moving here in 2011 and I must say it's entertaining to read your posts on life and traffic in the big city.

I'm a horrible player in real life, but I enjoy watching high level games. Do you have any favorite under 30 grand masters, or under 25?
I liked Mamedyarov's performance in the candidates tournament. If he hadn't of blundered against Aronian (getting his queen trapped and losing it), he may have tied for second or been a clear third place winner.
I wonder what Carlsen will do new against Anand in november. Maybe nothing.
Just found out how much of a geek my son is. Not a only did he know who this guy was,he named off another 5 guys that are his his favorite.
My son has been playing snice he was 5

I can't say that I have a favorite... I like watching them all. I will say that Carlsen is head and shoulders above the rest.
I don't care if it's Anand, Aronian, Nakamura, Kramnik... None would beat Carlsen in a championship match.
