*We’ve seen how proud parents act when their little tyke or tykette makes a poo-poo like a big boy or girl. But when a Chinese couple decided to encourage their toddler to go poo-poo and then commenced to spreading newspaper down on the airplane seat for him to do so, Delta Airlines customers really kicked up a stink.
The flight, which originated in Beijing and is thought to have left late last week, was headed to Detroit; and travelers watched in disbelief as the family is said to have ignored pleas from the airplane crew and passengers – who asked them to take the child to the restroom.
I had a friend who grew up in China and she said that they had a different attitude toward kids' bathroom needs. She said that toddlers were dressed in pants with an open seam down the center and they would potty wherever they were. So pooping in public is not taboo, at least when a baby is doing it, and taking a child to the restroom so they're out of the public view is not the norm there, or at least wasn't when my friend lived there. If you google "split pants toilet training" you can read more about it.
I do agree though, very gross and unacceptable on a plane.

Wow. And I had thought air travel couldn't get any worse.
Maybe like the old "smoking/non-smoking" sections, now they can have "pooping/non-pooping?" (If you choose "non-pooping" the airlines will probably use it as a reason to add an additional fee.)
Nice. In a semi-sealed vessel, where a majority of the air is recirculated, they let their kid take a dump on the seat. Now you have an aerosol of microscopic fecal particles swimming around over and over through the plane. I would have been livid had I been aboard that aircraft!

I agree with you completely!
