What's a hardcore criminal? Someone who was let out of jail by an incompetent justice system? That's the real problem. The people of the USA don't have the competence to be able to get themselves a competent justice system.
Someone wanted for attempted capital murder in another case among other things.
... and hopefully that guy will be in prison the rest of his life...
The fact that we need hope, that we have doubt about whether he will be in prison for the rest of his life, is a sign of how bad our criminal justice system is. We shouldn't need such hope, because it should be automatic, that when someone commits that kind of crime, there should be no way in hell they could possibly ever get out again.
I'm really confused on the backing up car. I've never seen a car do that. It looked like a person in the know trying to block her exit and then when he fully gets her in the car that car backs up and drives away.
Thank God she was found alive! And truthfully, this could have been so much worse. As much as people try to deny it, it is surprising the search was wide and fast because she's not a brunette or blond. Had they not found her she would have been forgotten rather than like most blonds and brunette women and gorls talked about for years and years.
Wonderful news!! At least this one has a happy ending. Now lock his ass up and throw away the key.
Maybe things are changing? This story even made its way all the way up to me in Canada (even before the development of her being found). But perhaps it is also that it was such a brazen, random, and terrifying sort of broad daylight crime by a stranger. Such stories are so scary that the media knows people wil be interested to here about them.
