"Williams, who has attended several demonstrations in Ferguson, Mo., told police that he fired shots at someone he had a dispute with, and hit the officers, who he alleges were not his intended target."

Demonstrator, outstanding warrants, parole violator..par for the course I guess. Well they got him.
The fact that he shot at someone because he was having 'a dispute' with them speaks volumes. Is there no other way to settle a dispute than with a gun?

Hard to believe in that tinder box that anyone could really think a few shots over a 'dispute' wouldn't become a major disastor. I'm assuming he intended to hit someone.

This story carried by FOX shows just how biased the media is. For instance, I didn't read anywhere what race the shooter was, nor the race of the cops shot.
Yet the article takes the time to twice mention that a white officer shot a black, as if to give the story some context.
In reality the shooting of Michael Brown had nothing, I repeat nothing, to do with race. Yet the media created a narrative of race being at the forefront.
This story, which presuming the suspect is black, likely has to do with race which the media helped to incite racial tensions. Yet nothing of race is mentioned. I wonder why?
Even the leftist koolaid drinkers should be asking why.
How did they find him and where? Did he actually stick around? Why did he confess?
Residents gave the police info about the guy. They served a search warrant on his house. Somebody wanted that $10,000 reward. News also said they found the weapon used to shoot the officers in his house as well.
"Jeffrey Williams was arrested late Saturday, and he has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault, a count of firing a weapon from a vehicle and three counts of armed criminal activity, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch said at a news conference in Clayton."
"At the time of his arrest, Williams was on probation for receiving stolen property, and McCulloch said he believed Williams had an outstanding warrant after not reporting to his probation officer for several months.
The prosecutor repeatedly thanked the public for the information that led to the arrest. He also said that, because of the public's assistance in the case, police were able to serve a search warrant on Williams' residence where they seized a .40-caliber handgun, "which has been tied to the shell casings that were recovered" at the scene of the shooting.
Williams is being held on a cash-only $300,000 bond, McCulloch said, adding that it's possible Williams could face more charges and that others could be charged in the case."
So, he didn't confess to singling out the police with his illegally possessed weapon. He was only defending himself from a protestor who was trying to rob him. Sure thing. I suppose that will get him less time, no intent to shoot cops.
I hope the informant gets the $10K. Often, they find a loophole to not give the reward.
I hope so too
