Tonight at a Foot Locker store in New Orleans, a man was killed just after purchasing shoes:

Man killed in Oakwood Center shooting; sheriff describes 'bedlam in the mall' | NOLA.com

Are the Air Jordan shoes really so coveted that people will kill just to own a pair? I've heard of diamonds referred to as blood diamonds because of all the violence surrounding how they are mined----should the shoes now be called Blood Jordans?

And does someone really think they could get away in a crowded store/mall to go home and enjoy the shoes? The shooter was caught----I don't think the best defense attorney in the world could get someone off in an Air Jordan defense....that they were so distraught about not having the newest style that they were temporarily insane.

Black lives must only matter when shot by a Cop.

Other than that they don't seem to matter to other Blacks.

People who wear & worship Jordans generally have an IQ equal to that of a squirrel... So I'm not really surprised.

"Terrified mall patrons, many with tears streaming down their faces, poured out of the mall immediately after the shooting, while teams of deputies -- assault rifles at the ready -- scoured the mall interior."

"Deputies escorted employees and patrons from behind storefront gates and out to the parking lot in an effort to shut down the entire mall. They then cleared the parking lot of all but the dozen or so of Vaughn's grieving family and friends who congregated outside the entrance to the mall's food court."

All that over a pair of shoes?! When you factor in all the law enforcement costs related to this fiasco that will end up being one very expensive pair of Jordans.
