That's a Britain survey. I really do not believe that is the case in the U.S.
I agree, and even if it is, so what? Women do what works best for them, and we are busy creatures. If if it, I am one of the one in five. I take a shower every day. I live in humid Houston, TX, and if I don't, I feel like I'm swimming in sweat all day long, and that's a nasty sensation. I'm not a bath person either. 5-10 minutes in the shower each morning, then done.
To me, people have a certain "sleep smell" to them when they don't shower. It makes me gag. Believe me when I tell you that other people know when you don't shower. THEY. KNOW......
I work from home in Colorado. The lack of humidity and the fact that I sometimes don't leave the house for days means I'm not too obsessive about showering. Now, when I'm back in my home state of New Jersey, I'll sometimes shower twice a day - I never feel clean there due to the humidity.
A few years ago, I rented a room to a guy who came out from the East Coast. I remember when he said to me nervously one day "Not to be gross, but when you first came out here, did you find that you didn't necessarily need to shower every day?"
I laughed. He had gone a couple days and then realized he hadn't taken a shower. When you're in NJ or PA or a state with similar humidity, there's no forgetting to shower! You just feel gross if you don't.
Now, if I'm going out of the house, I shower for sure. But if it's just me at home working in front of the computer, and I haven't worked out at all, I'm not too anxious to jump in the shower.
I am the same.
When I lived in NYC/NJ I also showered every day. In New Mexico and Colorado, not so much.

Absolutely. I love when people say " I don't have BO" , yeah...that is what you think but probably not others around you think.
In the summer, I shower once a day - sometimes even jump in a cold shower in the morning to rinse off. Now that it's winter and the air is dry, I go a day or two between showers. My skin is itchy before I even leave the shower and gets way too dry if I wash too often.
That said, I use dry shampoo which makes my hair smell good (and also lets me play with texture for hairstyles) and use babywipes around the netherregions and underarms. My legs and arms aren't likely to get stinky but even if I can't smell anything, I'd rather err on the side of caution for other areas.
I wasnt able to access the link. But if the poll is suggesting that 4 out of 5 women dont shower every day, or bathe or wipe their selves down with a wash rag over a sink everyday, they must be talking world wide because I do not believe for a minute that 80% of American women are going out in public each day with yesterdays sweat, dirt, grease, grime and germs still on their body.
Every woman I know showers everyday. When a person gets out of bed they have "that smell". If you don't smell it others do.
