That was the cop's prerogative, but it was a very risky decision to make (heck, the cop was even down on his back at one point after tripping). This cop wanted took his life into his hands when he behaved that way. I can't say that I would have done the same (at least some other cops certainly wouldn't not have done the same, and I can't blame them).

What does a cop fear most? They fear being locked up with all those people they themselves locked up. With some cops being charged with murder and manslaughter in the past few weeks it is starting to make them think about accountability and consequences (as it should have from the beginning).

Why should he be disciplined? The guy ended up surrendering. That's a good ending, isn't it? That would be crazy of cops started being disciplined for not killing people, lol if it wasn't such a scary idea.

I have to add, it's insulting to all cops to insinuate that fear of getting in trouble is the only reason he didn't resort to deadly force quicker. Some cops actually care about people and don't want to kill unless they have to, you know.

So this murderer had no problem taking the life of his fiancee and best friend, but didn't have the guts to kill himself and wants to put his blood on the cops hands? I'm glad the police officer refused to fall for it. He did a great job.

The cop would have been justified in plugging that dude....put himself at a lot of risk.

No, they fear not getting home to their loved ones most but today's anti-cop society has led to this which will unfortunately lead to way many more dead cops, this cop should have put two in the chest of this savage and it should have been justified.
