What is sad is that people who have the most to lose don't spend the money to hedge against that loss.

So now she has nothing and will probably have to go off and live with her son.

You also had several business owners in the Ferguson riots that had no insurance either.

We own a vacant house in Baltimore City...no one wants to insure it.
It may not be by choice that she has no insurance.

How would someone feel if they had insurance but it exempted civil unrest?

Many policies do just that.. Take a good look at your car insurance policy. Odds are that terrorism and civil unrest are not covered.

Just can't help yourself, huh.

If someone starts a go fund me thing, I'll definitely donate. An actual worthy cause for once.

Maybe someone should start a fundraising page for them. If people were willing to give an Indiana pizza place that got "insulted" hundreds of thousands of dollars, I would think people would donate to a deserving cause like this.

I do think that this is a very tragic situation, and this is the appropriate time for someone to open a Gofundme account. Hopefully (and with all the cameras around I'm sure) all of the idiots involved will be caught/prosecuted.

I do think that Peppermint wasn't lying though...
