Great that the media needs to dredge up a 15 year old story to fan some more race flames. Media hasn't had a juicy race story to sink their fanfs into since Baltimore. Sinking to new lows to drum up ratings for the summer riots they are trying to spark.

This isn't about media dredging up an old photo to fan "race flames".
This is exactly the same kind of photo that KKK members proudly took of a dead black man hanging from a tree back in the "good ole days" of Southern lynchings.
Please tell me you aren't that stupid to realize the similarities of racism here?
Someone's been keeping that photo up their sleeve until they judge the moment has arrived for it to have its greatest impact and be seen in the worst possible light.
I'm not condoning the photo but this deliberate manipulation to stoke the fire is very distasteful.

Actually, whether to release the photo was the subject of a lawsuit. The judge just decided the case.

It is Chicago. IMO, someone is trying to stoke riots, etc.

No, it isn't.
It is news now because of this:
May 5, 2015 -
"For decades, they had waited for an apology. This group of black men, some now graying and bent by age, had complained of violent abuse at the hands of the police in the 1970s and ’80s on this city’s South Side.
...
On Wednesday, after years of investigation, public debate and litigation, the City of Chicago expressed remorse. City Council members voted without dissent to pay $5.5 million in reparations to victims of torture and abuse by a group of officers known as the “Midnight Crew” and overseen by a notorious police commander, Jon Burge."

Interesting read. Sad that he was protected by the blue wall when it came to prosecution. Why should there be a limit on when they can be prosecuted? Is it the same for everyone else?
Yup go after the two idiots in the photo. It was taken 15 years ago. Both are no longer cops. But lets talk about this instead of the weekend shooting galleries in Chicago every weekend.
You do realise one of them was fired because of this photo and his appeal is why this photo even came out?
