Well, police are not hired for their high intellect......charge him with 2 counts of murdering police officers that were smarter than him.

I don't understand that at all. A K9 is your partner, you just don't leave him alone that long. If that actually happened, I would hope the officer is terminated and charged with felony animal cruelty, and required to reimburse the department for the expense of the two K9's who died.

He returned from his shift around midnight and did not discover them until 7 pm. These poor dogs perished in South Florida. What a horrible way for them to die.

The officer was responsible for the deaths of the dogs which I believe are considered police officers so he should be charged as such. Obviously he completely forgot about them although I don't understand how he did not notice their missing presence all day until 7 pm.

Yes. They are also on the Officer Down page. The officer should be charged with their death.

I wouldn't want the charge on a civilian, so I wouldn't want it on a cop. But yea, your right.

Charge with a minimum of involuntary manslaughter. It is beyond me how people forget their kids and their pets, or in this case, their partners, and leave them in a hot car to die. Officer should be fired while awaiting charges and trial. If anyone else killed the dogs, they would be charged with murder.

He is an officer he should be given he benefit of the doubt. It was just a mistake. He got in the job to protect others sow some respect. I bet you would be fine if a black person did it. Obama.

Did I miss any excuses?

What an idiot! If I were a tax paying resident of that town paying his salary, I would be demanding that he be terminated...both for his cruelty and for his stupidity. Anyone who "forgets" such a thing would be unfit to carry a gun. Stupidity is a dangerous condition.
