Just another tone def school. I'm happy the friend took a respectable yet forceful action.

I just wonder about people who start threads posting a link to a news story without including any comment about what their take is.

The school has a policy against decorating caps at graduation, not a policy that varies depending on the decoration. She ignored it and got busted for it. I'm not seeing what's news here.

Yeah, I know it's popular to go after the school now as being intolerant and inflexible, but when it comes to rules, flexibility often leads to many others wanting exceptions, so it's best to say, this is policy - period.

It is easy to get angry at the school, but you have to have rules or it could end up being a clown show. She could honor her friend in another way.

Jeeeeezus crimonies, ANOTHER incident/controversy involving a student and a school's dress code?

Just about every other week I read of these incidents involving students and dress codes, hair style, handbags, shoes, you name it.

Why, a few days ago I read of some recent high school graduate who made some statement on her yearbook page about her school's dress code.

Seriously, what's up with all these copycats?

What a curse the internets has become with all these wanna be viral 'heroes' who want their 15 minutes of fame and be lauded for their 'bravery' and 'courage' in making a statement against those evil, draconian school officials.

How about respecting school rules, keeping your traps closed, and stop trying to become 'heroes' (in your own mind). It's not like these school rules are threat to life, liberty, or health.
