Emma sulkowicz is a Columbia alumna who carried a twin mattress around campus for her senior theisis to protest her alleged rape by another in 2012. Recently she released a sex tape showing her and a man having consensual sex that later turns violent. The purpose of the piece is to bring awareness to the fact that a person can still consent to sex and still be raped.
