St. Louis is a proper noun. It should be capitalized.

I can't comment on that subject from any first hand knowledge. But for some people it is normal and and they find pleasure in it. How is it any of your damn business what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their home?

st. louis is consistently ranked at the bottom of every category for which cities are ranked. Out of any place in the USA, it deserves capitalization the least.

Have you ever been to St. Louis or are you basing your opinion on what someone told you?

I abhor the word normal.

The only world that the word "normal" exists in is a black and white world. That is not real life. Life exists in shades of grey. It's fluid, it changes.

I know it'd be much easier if there was a clearly defined rubric of "normal" and "abnormal" and we could label everybody and put them in neat little boxes. But life doesn't work that way.

Oh, look - another Republican who wants his ass handed to him by a federal court.

County clerks can refuse to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples based on religious objections to gay marriage, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said Sunday.
Quote:
Advocates of gay marriage said Paxton’s directive amounted to government-sponsored discrimination. Austin lawyer Jody Scheske said Paxton’s opinion was legally and morally wrong.

“We settled the idea that public officials can pick which citizens to serve or not in the ’50s and ’60s civil rights litigation. They cannot,” Scheske said.

Paxton noted that clerks who refuse to issue licenses can expect to be sued, but added that “numerous lawyers stand ready to assist clerks defending their religious beliefs,” in many cases without charge.

This is the new "Freedom of Religion" Act in full swing and will be a mess before everyone is clear on the new law ( sounds like). This matches the reaction as Weha's- 24 hour reaction news post ( in this thread)

In today's world with 24 hr news there always has to be a new story. The more tragic, graphic, controversial, heart warming the better. It's why even after the ACA ruling, SSM ruling and the funeral of Rev. Pinckney MSNBC (the channel you'd expect to all about those 3 topics) spent 90+ straight minutes from 5 est on talking about nothing but the NY fugitive who was killed. Violence and crime bring the best ratings.

Anyway, between the news and the Internet everyone who has an opinion can now shout it to the world. This is great when you find like minded people to bond with. However, it can also put things you don't agree with front and center in your life.

Back in the 90s fundamentalist Bob knew people existed who didn't agree with him, but he hardly had to interact with them.

Add to that the whole hate multiples online because of the anonymity problem and you get an Internet full of, on this issue the vocal minority who think they're an majority. Like the Chiwahwa that thinks it's a wolf.

Change terrifies people.

Children aren't molested by homosexuals, they're molested by pedophiles. Children are far more likely to be attacked by pedophiles who are either heterosexual when it comes to adult relationships or have no attraction to adults of either sex.

But facts never stop "fascist/rightists" from vilifying innocent parties. They're fair game if you think they're icky, right?

And that poster threw all this vomit at me! Anyway- it's a done deal and now you know how many people are really harboring emotions such as this. Nasty, isn't it? They throw a bat in the middle of the field trying to blame it on some type of illegal/gross/wrong/warped sexuality and group it with a whole group.

That said, is three wives "trigamy"? Is four wives "quadramy"? What is five wives, pentamy or quintamy? These questions need to be addressed because it is here. An ISIS fighter lived on Bartlett Street in Lewiston, Maine. He had two Ives in Maine and three in Minnesota. With all five wives and numerous children, all on welfare, he could afford to commute by jet from Maine, to Minnesota, Somalia and Turkey. You can see his photo in the link below. He is now a dead ISIS fighter, killed fighting for ISIS in Syria while being supported by our taxpayers' dollars.

Now there are five "widows" to be supported by the Americn taxpayer. After all, words don't really mean anything according to the Supreme Court. It's the sentiment.

Tom McLaughlin: Somali Privilege?
You do know a man can father numerous children with 5 women without marrying any of them? Sadly, there are many women on public assistance who get no financial support from their children's fathers. Polygamy doesn't make a man more or less responsible.
