Guards need to be careful around inmates and not fall for their sob stories. You figure a guard is doing a job then goes home to his life. An inmate just hangs out all day and can work on schemes. Mitchell fell for the stories.

We should be questioning the Affirmative Action that puts women in direct contact with male inmates. Some women can handle it but some can't and the same goes for men.

Um, there were also male guards that these guys "seduced" into helping them. If you're a sociopath, it doesn't really matter what the gender or sexual preferences are of your target - it's about stroking an insecure and lonely person's ego, fostering emotional dependency, and leveraging that to get them to do what you want.

You know nothing about their marriage. This was an unhappy woman who wanted an escape from her life. It's ridiculous to try to generalize "what women want". Men who are unhappy in their lives seek escape too. It had nothing to do with "higher status male" go back to your Red Pill boards.
This thread presumes that Mitchell is somehow representative of all women.
She is an extreme example of of a woman getting a kick from fantasy and roleplay, but most women have that need, I think it is a fair generalization. Spectacle, sex, status . Those are top 3 essential things a modern woman tries to maximize in her life. Spectacle is a crucial element. No matter what she achieves or gets, something is always lacking, and there are no olden restrictive cultural tabus. This opens some major opportunities for good male actors.
I think every man should read this story, and think hard especially if his woman was complaining about the lack of "romance" in her life.
