My son was badly burned & it took him a long time to go out in public. No one in that situation should have to go through the stares & comments but they are there.

What a fool.
Someone should tell him that typically girls arent going to be interested in a broke, unemployed guy that can't hold a job.

And of course the media and the internet blasts the poor guy's picture all over cyberspace so we can all point and stare.

If he's so sensitive about his looks, why is he getting in front of the camera?

Yes, it was crude, but this guy seems to want the attention.

The fact that the worker was an unfeeling boor has nothing to do with a tacky comment about looking down on fast-food workers (and, by extension, all such service jobs).

It does, indeed, take all kinds.

By the same token, being a low-end fast food/service worker doesn't exempt you from being a human being. Some of these folks tend to resent their economic situation and take it out on their customers.

This guy should have been given the opportunity to keep his job... after he spent some public service time in the local hospital burn ward.

Of course this is disgusting. But this is what young men do. They are horrible people a lot of the time, this is not news.

Yep, stupid remark by a stupid kid, but probably not the first he's heard nor will it be the last I'm sure. Getting so sick and tired of all the people who think being insulted is somehow newsworthy and go running to the media with it. I'm waiting for someone to go to the local tv station to report that I rolled my eyes at them.
