There were many prior incidents. This time, Turkey was likely just looking for an opportunity to show that they won't be ignored any longer. It's very possible that this particular flight never even crossed into their airspace, or crossed for a very short time, but it was made an example of.
Exactly what I was saying.
This time is not all what Turkey says.
Turkey was just waiting for an opportunity to do a gobble gobble.

Default Turkey Shoots down Russian SU-24

This was bound to occur at some point, as the Russians have been crossing over the Turkish border frequently and they've been warned repeatedly. It's obvious that Putin & Co have been provoking an incident like this for quite awhile now.

In the same article, Putin expresses his displeasure with NATO, which he says has responded as if Russia shot down Turkey's plane, and not the other way around.

Please show any credible source for your claim that ISIS is aligned with Assad.

That link has very little if anything to do with Assad and ISIS being allies.

And I love your "logic". No one is allowed to post anything without a news link, but you are allowed to post any sort of craziness, with no verified news links. Ah, propaganda!
Where did you get 5 mins from? Turkeys own letter to the UN describing this incident claims they violated their airspace for only 17 seconds. Even thats a stretch when you do the math and calculate how far the jet flew in Turkish airspace and at what speed. You get closer to 5 to 8 second range.

You make several claims in many posts that run contrary to all available news. When you do that you must realize that people are going to ask for some type of proof other than your assertation.

Lets hope Greece shoots down Turkish jets when it violates Greek airspace next time.
Greeks, be ready to fire if Turkish jets enter airspace, even if it's only the wing that enters Greece.

Putin just said that he thinks it was all pre-planned as there was no way Turkey could do that all in 17 seconds and I agree.

Of course it was pre planned / authorized.

The Turkish military has probably been at hot standby waiting for a Russian screw up for days if not weeks. They are just lucky it was the Russians and not some other type of plane mistaken for a Russian jet.

Obama coming out and telling Putin that they should be more careful in their target selection then these kinds of mistakes wouldn't be happening, makes it obvious that this was done with US giving the green light.

The US, Turkey and Saudi are all a little ticked that Putin has strolled in and made them all look like idiots. While the US and allies have been over there playing tiddlywinks with the sole objective of getting rid of Assad even if it means crawling in bed with ISIS. Putin on the other hand has rolled in and began exterminating all the cockroaches bothering Assad. This left the US in the unusual position of being exposed as supporting terrorists (while claiming domestically to be fighting them)

How these idiots running this country have so screwed up our foreign policy in such a short period of time to the point that its now Russia being the hero out kicking terrorist butt while we secretly arm the same terrorists is beyond me.

Yep, US will never succeed supporting "Moderate" muslims against "Extreme" muslims.
Moderate muslim is an oxymoron in itself.
