Later, officials said no explosives were found:

Middle east keeps spiraling down.

Uuuh; somehow that article does not serve to justify your last sentence at all.

How is an article about a shipping company investigating suspect packages indicative of the middle east spiralling downward? Mexico and South America have been shipping you suspect packages for decades and I've yet to see anything about them being in a downward spiral.

How about a package originating in the lower 48 full of contraband headed for Alaska or Hawaii would it's mere investigation indicate America being in a downward spiral?

C'mon now.

Thank you OP for being a part of the hysteria crowd. Post a story about an issue that isn't an issue to try to raise the paranoia of the little folk over terrorism. Freakin' stupid.

Unless this is a brand new thing, the geography was wrong... the bomb maker who puts packages on commercial carriers belongs to AQAP.

Egypt isn't part of that group's territory.

Glad it didn't happen, in any event.

Uh huh. Because nothing says 'spiraling down' like not sending bombs.

Your disappointment is palpable...

There's still 5 days left, but I believe Mack's won the worst thread of the month award.
