Yeah, I loved the way it turned out for her. I drove past their house a couple of weeks later, just to see how long it would have taken her to get home. It was a really, really nice neighborhood, with a lot of expensive McMansions for the "mid-20s-and-making-a-good-salary-for-the-first-time-in-their-lives" crowd. Considering how young she was, I suspect they were way, way overextended, and I often wondered if they were able to keep that house after that. I know that was an extremely expensive accident, by the time you're done with the lawyer, the totaled $40K vehicle that the insurance company is not going to reimburse them for, plus their increased insurance costs and her lost wages. That can very easily wipe a young family out, because they haven't had time to build assets - all they own at that age is debt.

Damn, I did love that car though. Still have a piece of it is a souvenir. Part of the nameplate off the trunk, just to remember it by. It was a good car for many years.

I just wanted to say how much I loved the fact that this lady got caught in her own lie. Justice does prevail sometimes......
