Putting these teens in jail is idiotic. Frankly it's a gross misinterpretation of the law and gross over-punishment. It reeks of nasty authoritarianism. I don't like saggy pants, but putting someone in jail for it is just cruel.

DOWN with saggy pants.

I resist intensely going up behind them and then........but I'd get arrested and I'd be the one doing the jail time. No sense of humor anywhere anymore.

I also believed in the severties: DOWN WITH HOT PANTS.

Give us a break. Why would you even notice a butt crack up on a roof working. Most of these idiots are just rebellious and aren't going to conform. It's against the law so suffer the consequences its not like it will keep you from employment. Oops sorry to accuse them of actually working.

Why should we use are taxpayer money to pay to people in jail for wearing baggy pants? Where is the line if someone wears pajama pants out should they go to jail to or if someone wears an inappropriate shirt? We already have to many people in jail we do not need to put people in jail for stupid things like this.

USA incarceration rate: 698 per 100,000

Most civilized countries are 100-200 per 100,000.

Incarceration is for real crimes, not stuff like saggy pants. Far too many Americans are deprived of their freedom due to dubious "laws" like this.

Well, obviously, somebody else did, too, because it's from a relatively country song. I stand by what I wrote.

Almost, but not quite. Actually most people gain weight in jail because of the high carb low protein diet, but many jails don't allow belts and jail issue clothing usually comes in three sizes, big, bigger and huge.

I love how some conservatives jump on this as a good thing...and then complain about paying the taxes to run the jails where there are many people who don't need to be there.
