Tennessee Teens Jailed For ‘Sagging’ Pants

Tenn. Teens Face Jail Time After Violating Saggy Pants Ban – Your Black World

As a black male, I think its a bit harsh, as jail isnt the answer for everything, but what might be needed to put a end to this stupid trend.

If you dont want to be targeted by the police, dont go out in public showing your underwear, its pretty simple. People will complain, it targets young black men and its racist or they shouldnt be told how to dress, when the simple solution is to just wear your pants above the waist the way the were intended.

No one wants to see some dudes underwear or imprint when you go to the grocery store or fast food place. If a woman were to sag her pants and walking around showing her panties, she would be arrested more than likely. You purposely have to go out of your way to sag your pants, so its not like people dont know what they are doing when they do it.

This is racism. People need to respect other cultures and customs.

This particular trend has absolutely nothing to do with cultural customs.

Saggy pants are obnoxious for sure, and I think the style is ridiculous. Everytime I see some knucklehead walking around with them I want to say "pull your damn pants up, you moron!" Having said that, do we really need more nanny state BS telling folks how to dress? I mean it's clear that most of these people who sag more than likely have a low I.Q. anyway, but there is no law against being unintelligent!

How many white dudes have been arrested for showing their butt cracks while working on a roof or doing some other outdoor work? At least the kids with the saggy pants aren't wearing under-sized and/or saggy underwear!

Jail for clothing choices. How utterly absurd.

Breaking the school's dress code is an in house issue, to be dealt with by the school.

What's the next step? Stoning them in the public square?

Do we know these kids were black. Do we know no other race wears saggy pants?

What, terrorism? Not according to our fearless leader.
Anyway, it was a violation of school dress code. I think arrest was overkill and honestly dont know how they were even charged with indecent exposure unless their wieners were out. A suspension would have been in order after several warnings.

while I think jail time might be a little harsh if these guys were warned numerous times to not sag and their parents have no control over them then expel them from school. I don't see a saggy pants ban as racist at all in fact I see plenty of white kids sagging too.
