Either way it puts the Duggars in a very bad position: if they settle and make it go away, the general public will consider Josh guilty. If they go forward with the trial and face depositions, he and his family will have all sorts of humiliating personal details made public; they lose whether Josh is guilty or not. I couldn't give two ****s about the members of the family who choose to be fame-whores, but it really sucks for the rest of them.
It is indeed a price paid for the pursuit of fame. Especially when you frame yourself in a polarizing manner.

Oh, definitely. This wasn't some innocuous large family, and their reality TV gig and peddling the Duggar brand afforded them a very comfortable lifestyle. I wonder if they it was worth it
Ahhh the good ole Duggar family! Sweet and innocent Josh....NOT. I'm kind of entertained in a weird way watching this family fall apart. I kinda want a huge bowl of popcorn and a chilled beverage watching this......So many skeletons.....it's like a cemetery!
In my continued efforts to try to understand this case and gain a better understanding of what might have led Ms. Dillan to make such a claim against a man she admitted to charging $1,500 to have sex with, I just watched five more of her scenes.
All of them involved more than one guy, and in one of the scenes there were eight guys and the level of what appears to be abuse and degradation (although acting on her part) is very serious. I can't help but wonder if maybe due to unresolved trauma related to her scenes, if she is projecting the way men have used her in her porn scenes onto a guy like Josh Duggar, who was just by her own admission, a guy she met at a bar she was stripping at that paid her $1,500 for sex.
I think you are being grossly unfair to this woman based on two words she said.

This puts us in a precarious position as you want to take claims seriously but at the same time it could just be extortion in which case the victim at this point (her or him) is unknown.
As such both parties statements are extremely important and we have to view those statements on face value.
P.S. The fact that she claims he paid her for sex is extremely material in light of her statement and yes, your claimed affidavit is important as is the wording.
Mathguy: You're spot on! There are many facts/sides to this case. Sometimes people base their conclusion on emotions v. fact.

It's not that I want them to fall apart but I would love it it the kids (grown and children) would see this cult for what it is and go get them a real life. That does not require side hugs, dressing alike, and parading themselves on reality television.
<Caveat: I don't watch the Duggars, I don't like the Duggars or the gal in the suit (or dislike them)>
From your own article....
1) The judge didn't agree she had a case, they merely disagreed with the request for it to be immediately thrown out before getting more facts.
2) There were TWO paid sex sessions. It's going to be a big uphill fight for a paid prostitute that had him back a second time to prove her version of events. So, it's not her "past choices" it's her actual choices to have sex with him for money.
Just looking at the legalities objectively as clearly it's going to come down to his word against hers and both have clear motivation to lie.
Right - she agreed to have sex with him for money, not to be assaulted....and if it happened, then damages are in order.
I just got done watching about three more hours of her scenes and it would appear that when she is at work, in porn, she is acting in scenes where it is rough, taking on multiple guys and even includes choking, slapping, hair pulling and some seriously degrading stuff.
I think for the purpose of her lawsuit she is trying to say that on the night she hooked up with Josh Duggar, when she charged him $1,500 that it was actually rough, like in a non-porn scene, hey 'Im not acting' way. And that she is seeking the $500,000 as compensation for his actions that night.
And you do know that porn isn't "real"? OMG - you DO think it's real? Wait, how old are you? I do hope you enjoyed doing your research for the sake of the forum.
