No wine? No lunch for Iran's president in France

I give Hollande credit for this one. Why should everyone have to bow down to demands of no alcohol be allowed on the table? If you want a Halal meal, that's fine. But don't tell other people how to dine.

This is the same selfish attitude they take when moving to a new society and most in the West seem more than happy to kowtow to their demands.

Sad that today the president of France has more balls than the president of Italy and Obama.

What does Obama have to do with this?

He must have been talking to Trump! Now all these leaders are running around insulting others and refusing to show up.

The absolute HORROR of it all, the ignorant brute...

If you visit someone else's home or country you should be ready to accept their customs. If the guy didn't want wine he could have turned his glass upside down or simply refused when it came around.

No doubt The Iranian guy looked down on the French dude because he wanted a drink. He probably thought he was an animal and beneath him.

I would submit that the actions of the Weird Beard are not merely selfish...

The Islamic fanaticism of the Iranians is totally supremacist. It is the ultimate expression of an arrogance that believes it has an innate right to dominate and rule the world. It demands that all "Other" bow down to it, no matter what the circumstances.

People like this cannot be 'retrained' or 'educated' into a more moderate, reasonable view. They can only be defeated.

These people need to learn the phrase "When in Rome . . ." and take it to heart. Or when in Paris for that fact. Or alternatively let's host a mad exodus of westerners into the middle east and demand pork bbq stands, oinky sausage, and bacon at breakfast.

We should not allow guests of any kind to be such arrogant douches and show them the door.

If you don't think that's not exactly what us westerners do where ever we go, you're not paying attention to western civilization.

Yet France fell like Poland in the last few decades by welcoming invaders with open arms.
