Great idea. I love Chick Fil a! They also give their employees OFF on Sundays. Such a class operation. We could learn a lot from a good company like them.
What's next they will give away freedom fries for bringing a Bible and reading it with your family.
Why don't they just limit themselves to sell food? Who do they think they are to tell their customers what they should be doing or not while they eat their greasy food?
I am thinking they are not holding a gun to anyone head to do this. It sound as if it is optional. You can get the free ice cream if you do this, or don't and don't get free ice cream. LOL
No problems.
Any business should be able to run as they see fit, as long as they are not breaking any laws. I don't see them breaking any laws by giving away free food. Do you?
Hey! I call discrimination against non-families. I don't have a family to bring to a Chick-fil-A. Can I just put down my phone and talk to myself for the free ice cream?
I don't give a damn about their religious views. I love CFA's food. I would eat there more if it weren't for dietary restrictions. I just think it's a silly gimmick, and none of their business if families choose to be on their phones while eating their chicken sandwiches.
Where did they say it was their business if you chose to talk on the phone? They are offering people free ice cream for this optional cell free visit. They are not banning you from yapping on your phone. You will just have to pay for your ice cream. It isn't that hard to understand.
So what if they do? How does it affect your life if I choose to have an opinion against phone shaming?
Doesn't affect my life at all, because I'm not making up stupid terms like "phone shaming" or getting my panties in a wad about something so ridiculous.
And by the way, I sit in restaurants all the time with my head in my phone - and this doesn't bother me in the least. Even if they said that it wasn't optional and I had to put my phone away to eat there, I would either do it or get my food to go.
Retailers have a similar program involving cell phones. If you do not talk on your cell phones, you receive service. When your cell phone conversation is more important than checking out or finding an item, you receive no service. This concept works very well.
