Dennis Nicholl, a financial analyst at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago, was arrested this past week for fulfilling the dreams of many commuters worldwide: silencing cellphone conversations.
The epic saga began in late 2015, when Chicago residents noticed their calls being dropped or lacking service altogether while traveling on area trains. Chicago IT worker Brain Raida outed Nicholl as the cause after sharing a photo on Reddit of the man with the jammer in one hand and a can of beer in the other. The illegal device is capable of shutting down cellphone and radio signals throughout the vicinity.
Seems to me the self-absorbed losers are those who think that the whole rest of the car should be forced to put up with their need to carry on cell phone conversations and their inability to wait until they're not in public (can't cope with delayed gratification0. Now, THAT is narcissistic!
Those should be standard equipment for every checkout operator and fast food counter employee for all the self absorbed, special snowflake losers that thinks their conversation is more important than keeping the line moving.
Can I get one that is set up to only jam Obama phones. I'm getting tired of people talking on those (acting like they have alot going on in their lives) when they are in line buying steak, ribs and salmon with their EBT (eatin' better today) cards.
So it's illegal to use a cell phone jammer? Here in the San Francisco bay area the BART subway system police used jammers to try and control protesters in the wake of the oscar grant shooting.

Maybe if the self important cell phone yackers had one tiny ounce of consideration for other people this sort of thing wouldn't be necessary.
Note to cell phone jammer-guy - next time HIDE your jammer and don't drink beer on the train and you probably won't get arrested.
And THANK GHOD the Federal Communist Communications department mounted a tactical undercover STING operation to catch this horrible criminal. What a great use of tax dollars.
