Jonathan Martin, 20, was charged with wearing a mask in a public place and disorderly conduct in Middlesboro.
He was found at about 0100 EST (0600 GMT) on Friday in "full clown costume" and mask crouching among trees by an apartment complex, according to police.
Recent reports of clowns trying to lure children into woods have sparked alarm.
WTH is going on? I'd like to know what the motive was of the guy they caught in Kentucky, because his charges were only misdemeanors at best. Was he just being dumb? Or was it something else?
He's probably lucky the cops got him before somebody shot him.
I've asked this a couple times, in a couple different places, and am going to ask again. Are we sure this didn't just start as some PR stunt for the new It movie that is coming out next year?

It has been going on in a few places. There was one here awhile back in Staten Island. Its a prank thats being kept alive by copycats. The creepy clown is a long used horror gimmick. It is creepy seeing clowns lurking in the shadows and the ones doing that are taking advantage of this. This case he certainly could have gotten shot doing that. Stupid guy.
Any fool lurking around my neighborhood in a "creepy clown costume" had better pray the I do not notice him because the next official on the scene will likely be the CORONER. Some stunts go way beyond foolish cranks and move themselves out of the legal system.
