Police are on the hunt for a man who they say assaulted a teenager at a gym parking lot while she was walking out to her car. The incident was captured on camera.
A clip of the surveillance video from the night of June 12 shows the 18-year-old woman walking to her car at Planet Fitness, located at 306 North Main Street in Rochester. A man then sneaks up behind her and begins to attack her.
Wow. That is so sad and how scary for her. You can tell at the end of the clip she is about to cry. It's amazing she doesn't show more damage if he punched her that many times.
People need to be very careful getting in and out of their cars. Don't become too complacent because you are accustomed to doing things a certain way or in your familiar places.
Since they haven't found this POS, people need to be extra vigilant. He is free to do this again and again and again and probably is emboldened by his having eluded the police. The video is clear enough that someone must be able to identify him.
Too much rage for this to be random! Few clues, guy had sunglasses on at 10 pm? He drops a water bottle, hopefully cops have it and can process it for prints.
There was a case in Florida years back where a girl got stomped (seemed random at first). She got brain damage (kid had steel toe boots on). Apparently she wrote something defamatory about him on social media and he responded violently.
Lock him up and throw away the key when he's caught. Or better yet, execute him.
At a minimum several public canings to make him an example to any other freaks that try this. My daughter once had a drunk army guy harassing her outside a Safeway. She wouldn't speak to him in the store and he was offended.
I almost offended him. With a 5lb bag of flour where the sun doesn't shine.
Sneak attacks are often effective but makes the guy a coward considering he is bigger than her. Being aware of her surrounding and carrying Mace, or a personal alarm would have helped her in this situation.
He must not have been hitting her very hard. She did not suffer any significant injuries. It doesn't get any more cowardly than attacking a woman from behind though.
