Trucker saves dogs thrown out of vehicle on highway. What kind of heartless scum would throw live animals out of a moving car? There are truly monsters among us.

I was a trucker in Texas many years ago (1990's) on one of their interstate roads. I had a small truck with a flatbed (about 5'X12") pass me at about 85 mph. It had a dog running back and forth on the flatbed and stopping only inches from the edge. I reported it on the CB and other truckers also joined in. I did not see or hear if the police ever caught him or if the dog survived the ordeal? It is possible the dog always rode back there; I don't know? It just seemed very cruel to take that kind of chance with supposedly man's best friend.
That said it was not as cruel as throwing your pets out the window of a moving vehicle!
People are cruel. I'm not sure what it is with this Christmas season or maybe it has always been this way. A lot of animals are getting dumped right now. Eight puppies showed up in the neighborhood I grew up in this week. My neighborhood had three dumped kittens the week before. One of the kittens was hit by a car and died. My own dog was one I found on the side of the road. He was injured and then dumped. He would have probably have died if I had not taken him in although there is a small chance someone else would have picked him up. My sister has a dog that was dumped twice. He was dumped in one spot. My niece was playing at someone's house and saw him there. My dad and sister found him about four miles away where my dad was cleaning up some property.

Yeah, you're right. Our local newspaper has printed more than one animal abuse article this month -- terribly neglected and abused dogs and cats. It's enough to make me puke.
Okay. So you want to dump your pet. Does your vehicle really need to be flying down a highway when you decide to do it?
Merry Christmas to the Trooper and Adam the trucker! Thanks for caring.
I hope those poor puppies heal fast and find good homes. As the mom to a hound mix I know they aren't easy, but they bring you a lot of love and joy regardless.
People who do this sort of thing have no heart and no soul. They merely go through the motions of having a life, and no good karma or rewards will come to them... as it should be. I wish them a long and miserably unhappy life. They deserve it.
Just glad some very decent people stepped up to help these dogs.
