There is such a rise in irrational behavior. About twenty years ago I started thinking about the possible correlation between environmental pollutants and irrational behavior.

Are we maxing out on the amount of things we eat, drink and breathe that are contaminated? Then add stress to that. . .

I'm seeing all kinds of nutty stuff in my usually steadfast, sort of dull, little Midwest city.

The couple just kept going at him. I guess they felt they were bullet-proof.

People should stop testing people unless you are made out of steel.

I have also noticed the opposite. Many people are nicer and more understanding. Different people react differently I guess.

This happened in Wilkes-Barre, about 90-100 miles north of Philly.

I'm not blaming you as a lot of media sources claimed this happened in "suburban Philadelphia". But that's really just because geography knowledge and making sure your articles are factually accurate are both things that have fallen out of favor with the folks working in our mass media.

Not just people either. There’s another thread here about squirrels becoming aggressive and attacking people. So maybe it is something in the environment, IDK.

You really need some self-awareness and strategy when dealing with neighbors. Most of us have had difficult neighbors at some point, and unless they are out & out psychos, you can usually mitigate the issues.

Mitigation means you might have to let some things pass. Not fun...but such is life. These 3 people who are dead had to have some toxic issues going on besides their mutual animosity.
