It looks like law enforcement knew the suspect within 2 weeks after the murders as they were able to identify him through his vehicle (seen on surveillance videos).
It was so obvious the cops knew who the suspect was based on their behavior and the way they conducted public updates. Everything they said and did indicated they were already onto Bryan within weeks of the murders, despite them not saying anything for a long time. Some on this forum thought otherwise but they were proven wrong in the end.

As I understand it, the Moscow police had put out a BOLO for a white Elantra for police only. The Washington State campus cops checked for white Elantras with campus parking permits and came up with Kohberger's car.
He's not walking from this. Even if the courts are tied up in limbo for eternity he is never going to see the outside of a jail again.
Don't be too sure. Down the road, after several generations have passed, who haven't lived this tragedy so therefore have no emotional ties to it, there could be a release or dropping of original sentence of this guy. Think the Manson woman, Scott Peterson to name a couple. Heck, there were those in the last several years who thought Manson should be released.....yes, he did not do the murdering, but was sentenced accordingly to the time period the crimes occurred in. Yet those who had no idea of the horror of the crime, and the feelings of the public when it happened, who WEREN'T EVEN BORN YET, a "kinder, gentler" generation, wanted to let him go because "he was old now", "he served his time", "he wasn't dangerous anymore", and other incomprehensible reasons to justify his release.

Well, that was in California so.....The good thing is that Manson did not get out. He died locked up behind bars in prison.
I highly doubt that time is going to soften the horror that happened in the King Rd house.
