I know what you mean, Sandy. I'm still getting used to the Southern Way of doing things down here. It was always go, go, go up north, but down here...not so much.

Heard from Billy finally--he came on line yesterday while we were gone to check the boat. What a waste of time. Anyway, right now he is very busy over there, equipment coming in, people coming in, wow did he sound fancy in the email--he had to "facilitate" things, huh?

Yes, Karla, the boat is closer for now, but it's only for the week, they'll take it over to the marina this weekend some time, weather permitting.

Today I did a 20 minute kickboxing workout, boy those get confusing-punch/cross/hook/uppercut/knee kick-whoa!

Have a good evening all.

I wanna go, go, go somewhere...!

Very true about the pace of life in the north compared to the south. I think the heat slows you down!

But, Sue...you just got back!

Five weeks from today, I go north to visit my mother. It'll be good to see everyone, but I'm really not looking forward to the trip.

Morning ladies
It took until around 1 but the system is back up and running completely
There is information that is missing because everything(sales reports & figures) went bye bye when the hard drive when kaput
I may be able to retrieve some of this information from our reporting systems companies
I am thinking about getting them an external hard drive so they can back-up weekly

This is a good reminder for me to back up my computer on the external drive that is sitting on my desk

Connie - I love the word "facilitate" lol I have used it with CD a few times

Pattie - that sucks that you have to get a new roof but with the change in code they have to use the new type of nails and are they putting up architectural shingles they are suppose to be more wind resistant that what our roofer upgraded ours to after the hail damage replacement
Both of these can possibly get a discount from your insurance company

It is funny how you all mentioned the "slowing down" of the south I definitely move at a slower pace since I have been down here
lol at first it annoyed me how slow things were but I guess it was the "if you can't beat em join em" though when it comes to solving problems and getting things done work wise I still think and work like a "Yankee"
lol our Team is always saying "wow you got that done fast ms karla"

Evey how is your horse doing ?

Karla, these shingles are wind resistant and the underlay is actually ice and water resistant (not that I'm real worried about the ice part!). When we had our tie-downs replaced with a higher grade (they don't even call them tie downs, they're so much stronger), I tried getting a discount and they told me we'd have to bring the entire house up to code before we could get a discount, which would include all but rebuilding the house. Since ours is a manufactured home built before the latest standards, we're screwed.
