Duh, I saw AF and thought Air Force. Anyway, good. He deserves to get got! Some of his former requests to you were April Fool's joke funny, but it wasn't April Fool's day.
Also, I am trying to figure out what to do about XP going away on my desktop. It's a dilemma. I could transfer stuff to my laptop, but I sort of like having a desktop. Plus, I have to find the Office disc. It's either here somewhere or with Billy. I need my tech support to come home for a while.
Connie could you find someone with windows 7 and get their CD? That is what I am going to download on my laptop instead of going to windows 8, and I may delete everything on my desktop and download windows 7.
But I still have to get the old stuff off my desktop. I'd have to do a complete..like 'wipe' of the computer, and then put in windows and re-put in all the stuff. But, it only has 760MB of RAM, and I need 1 GB. That means I'd have to buy more and install it. The desktop is probably old in computer years. Billy bought it when he was a junior in college. He graduated in 07, so it's about 8 years old.
I don't blame you for not going to windows 8, I have heard it's a bear.
I already copied what little bit I need off my old one, if worse comes to worse I have Works to install from the original disks that came with my computer.
I casually asked CD in a text if he has transferred out a sum of money from the business account lol he texted me back an hour later what huh !!! so I called him he kept saying it wasnt showing when he looked at the account online. I said maybe thats because i'm an hour ahead of you. Finally he asked "what does it say" ? I replied it says "April Fools" !!!
We have XP on the stores computers I keep meaning to ask our computer support people if thats going to be an issue
I have windows 7 on this computer. There is windows 8 on the Surface
Hubby helped our Vet who got a new computer that came with windows 8 and he showed her how to bypass the tiles and have it perform just like a regular desktop.
Karla, support for XP ends on April 8th. I think you need to get them switched over, otherwise there will be no more support, no more security updates. They will be vulnerable to hackers big time.
